OJØMN - Dream come true!

Märket Reef lighthouse

Since I can remember from back in the days as a kids doing some radio, the dream has been to go to Märket Reef.

Now that dream has come true! 

August 2025, me and a few other radioamateurs were dropped of at Märket Reef to have a week of memories giving out Märket Reef, OJØ, for those in need.

Our calls were OJØMN and OJØZ, we were active for 6 days and nights, only sleeping few hours per day in shifts just to keep the stations on air.

We had with us several antennas from 4el4m and 6el6m yagis to 80m dipoles. something for each band.
3 radios so we could work 3 bands at the same time, SSB/CW and digital.

We had started to plan the trip more seriously in 2024, as it has been something in our minds for very long time.

WX on the reef is always a big question, sometime you cant get there, sometimes you cant get back from there.
